Where does Agadir’s tap water come from?
Since February 2022, Greater Agadir has received water from the Chtouka Ait Baha seawater desalination plant, which uses reverse osmosis and at launch dedicated 150,000 cubic metres a day to drinking water.
Which filter suits a home in Agadir?
Part of Agadir’s network water is desalinated, already treated by reverse osmosis, so most homes do not need a reverse-osmosis unit at home. The Tank Pro 6-function filter is enough to remove chlorine and the sediment picked up in pipes and tanks. If you rely on a well in the Souss, the Tank Pro RO + UV with eight stages fits best: it removes salt and disinfects the water with ultraviolet light.

Common questions from Agadir
Agadir’s water is desalinated — do I need reverse osmosis?
Usually not. Desalinated water was already treated by reverse osmosis at the plant; a home filter here removes chlorine and pipe sediment. Reverse osmosis is only needed for well water or salty water.
