Where does tap water in Rabat and Salé come from?
Drinking water in Rabat and Salé comes mainly from the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah dam on the Bouregreg river, and is treated at the Bouregreg treatment complex before distribution. In 2022 ONEE launched a project to raise supply to Salé and nearby localities from 104,000 to about 256,000 cubic metres a day.
