Why is it sold separately?
The membrane is the only component in a reverse-osmosis filter that reduces dissolved salts and limescale, and its life is longer than that of the other cartridges. That is why it is not part of the seven-stage cartridge pack and is ordered on its own.
What does it remove?
- The dissolved salts that give water a salty taste.
- Bacteria and viruses.
- Heavy metals.
The membrane pores are 0.0001 micron, four times finer than the membranes commonly found on the market.
When should it be changed?
